READ THE READ ME'S!!! Often times people just go gangbusters and don't read the pertinent information, and as a result their simming experience is muddied. There is a lot of good information in the files that will help with your enjoyment of this aircraft.

This model was tested in FlightSim 2004 FS9, and all systems appear to be functioning. If you do encounter any issues, please be sure to post them on the AFG forum, and we'll attempt to address them ASAP.

This aircraft is not your run of the mill FS aircraft, and as such, it requires your tender loving care. You MUST read the flight manual available at www.alliedfsgroup.com to fly this aircraft successfully.

This version is AFG's model 2.0. The 2.2 version panel is compatible with this plane, but you will not have the default autopilot available.

This particular model file for the HAF YS-11FC is modelled with the proper antenna and APU configuration for this aircraft. This is one of my earliest repaints which I have been sitting on for some time, so I thought I would just go ahead and release it.

I have included the default King Air sounds in the package. I highly recommend downloading the "NAMC YS-11 Sound Package v.2.0" available at the same site. Mr Ryuji Ozawa has created the most remarkable sound package for the Rolls Royce Dart engines I've ever heard. Hopefully you have good speakers, and by all means TURN THE SOUND UP!!

I have included a wonderful smoke effects package made possible by Mr. Douglas Kallen, who modestly wants no credit! It will automatically generate smoke for you without having to press "I". You will see the smoke most of the time, it dissapears generally during descent when your fuel flow decreases.

I have also included the newest moving prop textures by Rui Cristina, a fellow member of AFG. They give a more realistic sense of spinning than previous versions. Thank you, Rui!

A LITTLE HISTORY ON THIS PLANE:
I attempted to make this painting as real as I could ( at the time). The actual aircraft currently flies with The Japan Air Self Defence Force, and is based at Chitose Air Base outside of Sapporo Japan. It is used as a "flight checker," where it calibrates the many navaids around the country.

I have created a reference page for you that you can use during your flights. You'll find it on your kneeboard. It's kind of a condensed version of the manual...nothing will replace reading the manual, but you can use this for help.
Using real photos of the actual cockpit of another plane I painted, ( the Greek Air Force YS-11A HAF 143, available at AFG,) , I have reworked the main panel a bit. The virtual cockpit remains the same as the "default" ANA cockpit. Changing all those textures was a task I found intimidating for now, and as such, it will remain as is! At the very least it is a change of pace from the standard!
I want to thank my muse, (you know who you are!,) for talking me into buying my first Flight Sim instead of a digital camera. (Now I have one of those too!) And also for his kindness and understanding during this last year of learning how to paint! Thanks a million. :-)
